None of us have a clue how this will turn out, but I am pretty happy with this hire. Glad we got someone with experience running a relatively successful mid-major program in the current transfer happy climate. -

Texas State to PAC 12
I looked online and was also reminded that Rice football won an outright conference championship (CUSA) in 2008. Not bad! I don't think their basketball teams have won much of anything as long as I can remember though. -

NCAA Tournament Thread
I'm not sure kids went out of state to win as much as they went out of state to places that cared. At many/most Texas localities, they don't even really get into basketball season until football season is over. Not just college football, but pro too! Why stay in Texas when you could goto Kansas or whatever, and be the big man on campus?
