I thought Gumms was a H-back and Roberts and Alberding were the tight endas?

What’s the difference? They are effectively both TEs.

I'd kill to have Kason back. Dude is putting up big numbers. I still can't fathom that we didn't give him a real shot.

Tonight Kason went 19 of 33 for 269 with 1 TD and 2 INTs against Wichita Falls finest.

We won big, but not particularly impressively.  Of course seeing the Rebels, I don't think UNLV is very good either.  Amazingly I give us a 45% chance of winning that game and being 3-1.

Truth is this game was never really going to tell you much about the rest of the year. I feel like all you can really say is they won and they won big, just like they were supposed to. Lots of football left to play.

These FCS games never do. They’re worthless. You see stats put up in them that we won’t see again against anyone with a pulse. You learn nothing about your team, you usually draw very few fans to them, and they cost you $$$ to pay the FCS spare to come here.

And if you lose, this pretty much ruins your entire season.

I wouldn't call them worthless because players get more game experience.

It wasn't always pretty but we won by 32 and scored 35 in a single quarter. I'm enjoying the W and hoping we can take some momentum into Vegas.

It's not the FCS team driving our attendance woes. It's our own sorry program. You can't build a fanbase losing more games than you win, especially when you get your ass handed to you in the losses. Do that over 30 years, and here's where you are.

There were quite a few App State and Marshall fans at their road games several states away (I guess Marshall is only 2 away). Wish we could have whole visiting sections like that, not just little dots around the stadium. Know a lot of people here are going to the UNLV game, do us proud!

Did anyone hear SL talk after the game?   I missed it,  I sure he said we need to clean things up and work on somethings. We can always get better.  Oh yeah the three phases-did I miss anything?

Where did Landis come from.  He ran well last night.

Meh. That's announced. Probably sub-10k in attendance

They offered two free tickets to all Faculty and Staff for last night's game. The numbers could include everyone who clicked the link to get the free tickets even if they didn't actually attend.
