Why in the hell are we trying to rush every play and not manage the clock.

We're trying quick tempo. Not sure why. Seems like a good way to make our defense completely gassed.

Not getting this either.  Your defense is gassed.  Only play it made sense on was the third and short.

Just got bailed out with that call.

Couple of not too shabby throws by Aune so far, 1 big drop.

Might be an unanticipated edge if we have someone catch a football

that was a nice catch by Shorter

Aune did quite ok, apart from this one backfoot throw deep. It is that turnover that makes things look so much worse. That said, gotta start finishing drives. no use converting 4th down when you don't punch it in in the end

Question for my fellow middle-aged Texans: Was cornhole a thing when we were growing up? The first time I ever heard the word it was slang for a specific sex act. So when I see CBS Sports Network ads expressing excitement about the upcoming American Cornhole Tournament, hilarity ensues.

He’s the king of winning games he’s supposed to, and getting waxed vs everyone else.

When you don’t have a distinct talent advantage (which is most conference games) and mediocre QB play that gets you a 0.500 conference record, undefeated against FCS and winless in bowl games.  That is what you get minimum at G5 programs with resources that actually try to be competitive.

They are not wildly better than us. Can't make so many mistakes.

They are so much bigger and faster and better coached than us it’s not even funny…..they are absolutely wildly better than us

There are 10 things wrong with this team tonight and Austin Aune is not one of them

He can't throw it downfield for than 15 yards. How can you open up with the offense when you're so limited throwing deep?

Yeah, it’s a little weird… though the commercial after that one featuring the Iron doors was the most compelling TV since kickoff.

I'd venture to say he's not the biggest issue, but we also can't rely on him to finish a series.

We look so inept offensively against SMU, it's not even close
