Confident - Our RB's are good. I believe we will be able to move the ball on the ground. Need to avoid falling behind early (see worried). If we can keep the ground game going and use up the clock we can have success.

Worried - Our DB's and the Zone defense. SMU has a high quality QB and receivers. It is not likely to be a repeat of UTEP's QB's performance. If we are not able to put pressure on them it could be ugly

I think we can expect them to stack the LOS and dare us to throw the ball to beat them. That's where Bush, Macklin, Burns and Roberts can shine if Aune can deliver.

Confident -- We have a good game under our belt already while they are breaking in a new head coach and staff.

Worried -- I think it will be hard for our oline to move SMU like they did UTEP.

Leading up the the game, I had heard the D-Line was UTEP’s strength.  Is SMU’s that much better?  I honestly don’t know.

Most confident- gas prices are looking good so the round trip from [redacted] won't cost too much on fuel.

Most worried- still pale, still afraid of the sun.

Fuel prices are still a great deal higher than they were….which will be. A factor in a loss for SMU

I mean when you look at their schedule from last year it is pretty scary.  They beat us 35-12 and ACU 56-9.  They beat TCU 42-34.  The only games they lost in conference were Houston, Cincy, Memphis and Tulsa and they didn't lose by much in any of them.  They have basically the same team back minus their best wide receivers.  Their QB is a big time NFL caliber prospect.  And they have been killing it with NIL and the portal.  They landed that stud running back from Alabama and they stole our running back trey Siggurs.

Confident- Our run game will keep SMU’s offense off the field as we grind out long possessions.

Worried- Like last week, our secondary will give up multiple big plays and Aune won’t be able to make the throws to keep up.

Confident - We will have another tailgating WIN on Saturday.

Worried - My group’s move back to our legacy tailgating spot will result in us not hearing when it is shot time at William’s spot.  (Aww, who am I kidding.  He can be heard at all corners of the blue lot. )
