Quinn Whitlock looked like a very good player last night and had the most tackles next to KD (7).

Larry Nixon is a very good linebacker who just happens to be in the shadow of a great one in KD.

People are slamming the secondary but I like what I saw of Gaddie and Ridge Texada.

Is it just my eyes or did Fedechi Nwaiwu play a whole lot on the offensive line last night? If not him who was that?

I did not see Sifa Leota out there much if at all.

Also is Aune trying to throw it at the shoestrings like is Bloesch telling him to do that so he won't get intercepted or whatnot?  It is not a good look.  He needs to stop it.

Any other observations?

He seems to not set his feet and continually throws off his back foot which messes with his accuracy. Also, am I crazy or did a lot of his throws look like a baseball throwing motion? 3 TD passes is good but it didn’t tell the whole story. He seemed to settle in later in the game and made some really nice tight rope throws but I once again come away from the game worried about his accuracy. Multiple times he overthrew an open receiver or threw to their feet which ended up in the dirt. We aren’t always going to play a team where the opposing QB/WRs mess up as much as UTEP did last night.

Nwaiwu came in when Carroll got hurt and I thought did a nice job also. Earned that scholarship just a week ago. .
How about that walk on RB Ayo Adeyi leading the team in carries & yardage.

Mazin Richards showed he can play at this level.
