Why did Southern Miss not try to keep Scotty Walden? The play calling for Austin Peay looks solid.

He's also a 32.5 point under dog. Easy to call runs on 4th down from your 20 when you're down 1 in a game you were expected to be blown out. Kind of like our fake fair catch against Arkansas. Don't think SL would have ran that against Rice.

We were ahead in the Arkansas game when we did that.

Missed the point. When you're expected to lose, it's easier to open up the playback.

It takes real nerves to call high risk plays in a championship game like Sean Payton's onside kick against the Colts or the Eagles a few years ago against the Patriots.

Austin Peay is giving them everything they can handle. Is WKU all that?  Picked to win the East.

They are irrelevant.  They were left behind in the Realignment Rapture!

WKU was picked to win the East when Doege, the West Virginia quarterback, transferred to WKU.  He opted for the transfer portal and did not report at WKU.  This happened after the prognosticators decided that WKU would be strong with Doege at quarterback before they knew that would not be so.
