UTEP Miners expect a sold out Sun Bowl for game against North Texas Mean Green in final Conference USA tilt between the in-state rivals. How head coach Dana Dimel and athletic director Jim Senter made this happen.
The FBS season in Texas begins Saturday when North Texas travels to El Paso to face Conference USA foe UTEP in front of what is expected to be the first sell out of the Sun Bowl since a 2008 contest against Texas. This is on the heels of the Miners’ first winning record – and bowl appearance – since 2014. The last sell out for a conference game came against Marshall in 2005.

Sold out Sun Bowl is an INCREDIBLE experience.  The place will be a giant party if UTEP gets up by 2-3 possessions.

Mike Leach's Raiders went to EP once, and the Pirate came out of it a little shocked.  He likened the noise to some of the loudest places in the B12.  He specified Nebraska, IIRC.

UNT can't come into the game half-assing things, or they'll get their asses handed to them.
