Is a lifetime ban for this type of behavior too severe or is that only reserved for the PGA tour commissioner?

If you are honest, you have to know that most of NT players would take an offer to UCLA.

It to me, just demonstrates what is wrong with the NCAA allowing transfers without penalty.  

A perfect example of a upper level team just picking players they want from defenseless lower tier teams.
