From where I sit, this is the best staff he’s had since that 2018 season.

I think you have a very valid point.  It seems like the ex Baylor/Briles tree coaches are running things (Philly, Mike and Clements) etc.   And honestly I am just fine with that!  These guys know what they are doing.

I’ve been around since 2008.

How’d those teams fare in bowl and championship season?

This is the exact reason why Seth is so disappointing.

Yes we have a putrid history with minimal success so he's been better than that, but regardless of how many wins (He's still under .500 for his career) he has, the trophy case is still barren. He has nothing to show for it.

So sub .500 and no bowl/championship wins as one of the highest paid coaches in the conference in his 7th year? That's what I'd call extremely disappointing for any normal fanbase.

The problem is we're so beaten down as a fanbase that having a good staff and lucking into the greatest QB in school history is good enough. No it's not. We pay the man a lot of money, and he still hasn't done anything. This needs to be the ultimate shit or get off the pot season. No more excuses. You have the money, the resources, the staff, the players. Anything less than 7 wins and a bowl win and he should be shown the door. Period.

There is a video on MeanGreenSports.com recapping the scrimmage.  I haven't watched it yet, but it may be worth taking a look.  There is also another video with Gaddie mic'ed up.

When are we going to be adopting our players for the 2022 season?

Or did the NIL force us to actually have to adopt our players?

You think NIL was expensive... you seen how much these kids EAT?!!

I have adopted Shorter for a couple of years now and his medical bills have sent me to the poor house.

Absolutely.  Grant in a way has been bad news for Seth because he raised the bar higher.

I mean, Seth raised the bar with nine-win seasons before Grant was even here. For years we would have sold a kidney to get to six wins and a bowl game and now that qualifies as “garbage.”
I want us to contend for conference championships every year but some of the comments here are pretty over the top.
