Basketball schedule THREAD

Thought I’d start a thread for all scheduling news and rumors for basketball.

As of now:

@ Buffalo (part 2 of a home and home)

VS UMASS *Neutral in Springfield MA*

NOT CONFIRMED BUT A SERIES:

@/vs Nevada, was scheduled to be here last year but was cancelled due to BS Covid pullout from Nevada. Was slated to be in Reno this upcoming season. 
@/vs UTA, it’s been a series for a very long time, I assume it’ll happen again. Very high chances.

Rumored:

@/vs Oklahoma State, heard a rumbling about a possible game against Oklahoma State? Would be nice.

 

Be on the lookout for a MTE/neutral site in the coming weeks against a solid team.

Should be more down the road, but quite a few teams have turned down the opportunity to play us. Unfortunately teams don’t want to lose to us, and we aren’t a buy game anymore.

I expect 2 P5 teams and a solid schedule in general, like usual from Mac.

Drop any information/news if y’all have any, would be nice to see.

Game is in Phoenix according to Rothstein. Wyoming and St. Mary's will be playing each other as part of the event.

I absolutely expect us to win that tourney. A team with NCAA Tourney aspirations has to beat that slate.

Long Beach State is pretty good... I believe their leading Scorer is JJ Murray's little brother.

Vermont is always a solid program, should be tough but very manageable with the type of defense we play…

Seeing this lineup makes me miss last years tourney so much… we played some legit teams. Vermont is good and of course none of these teams should be taken for granted, but I loved our Miami game.

We will never have more than an 8 man rotation with McCasland. I’d be SHOCKED if we had more than 9 play a game this year…

Missouri State was 23-11 last year in the MVC.

Vermont was 28-6

UNCW was 27-9 and won the CBI

Long Beach St. was 20-13

It is winnable, but it won't be a cakewalk.

Now this is a really good matchup. Saint Mary’s is always either a top tier NIT or NCAAT team. Great get by Gmac

He already pointed out Vermont and LBSU. I completely missed UNCW in the draw. They have had some good years lately. I remember it was between us and them on Deng Geu and they were coming off a similar season then.
