My high school team practiced 2-a-days at night when I was a senior. It wasn't as hot and the sun wasn't beating us down. The most common complaint about that is "the boys won't get in shape", well, we ran plenty thank you and we did not have one day game on the schedule and 10 night games, so it makes sense and is safer. I think more coaches should consider that if it is possible. When I heard about that player yesterday on the radio my stomach became sick. I can't imagine what that is like for his family, friends, teammates, and coaches.
