Some interesting locations, with Western Kentucky added in BG, so I’m wondering who’s planning to travel to away games this year?

I’m for sure making UTSA, most likely Vegas for UNLV and Memphis. Was planning on going to El Paso, but with the August 27th date, I’m not sure. Maybe UAB because that stadium is nice and the area around the stadium is beautiful.

Hopefully my road disappointment ends!

I'm also looking at UNLV, but I have to work late Friday night.  So I'm hoping for a late afternoon/evening game in Vegas to give me some time to travel there in the morning.

Leaning toward Memphis (did that as a student in 1967) and Birmingham. We went to a game in San Antonio a few years back, and I didn't like the seats (narrow leg room and no cup holders). San Antonio is fun so I might consider that.

You'd think they would remember the team who spanked them in their last bowl game. They haven't been in one since.

Edit: looking at their football record by season makes me feel very fortunate for what we have here, even if it isn't much. They have 2 winning seasons since 2000 including the 2013 HOD season.

UNLV and I hope I am not embarrassed in front of family that lives there and are UNLV fans.  I think we are in for a long season.  I guess you have to walk from the strip or take a shuttle in.   I said to family even for a unlit vs UNT game?  They said there is no parking at the stadium.  I drove by it once but I wasn't looking at the parking lot.

is this the coaches' spouse travel game in Vegas?

Where is this from?  It isn't from their athletic's website

It's there on the page to purchase single game tickets.  Our name is fine if you're just looking at the football schedule.

Planning a trip to Las Vegas with about 12 members of my family. 

San Antonio is a given for me as that is more of a home game for me. 

Hoping to make the trip up to Denton for a home game as well.

      per 24/7...Jossell and Floyd both committed on 4/24...Atin Wright on 4/26...Newell on 5/5...Lorient on 5/9. most of our key departures had committed elsewhere a bit earlier...Jones 4/19...Edwards and Noland 4/21...Scott 4/24...so maybe a part of the delay was Hodge still recruiting our guys into possibly staying before we locked up our transfers...part though is certainly that we're not at the top of queue. just do a quick scroll down the portal commits so far and it's 80% or so top programs.

      2025 Roster Construction

      you keep saying two different things. no one is arguing that we don't need an experienced Jr/Sr lead guard (two, really), ideally that are slotting in as the starting PG and SG next season. and guess what? we still have SIX scholarships to hand out in order to land those guards. but carrying an entire 13 man roster of Jr/Sr transfers just doesn't work with the reality of team construction, for a variety of reasons I've already laid out elsewhere. it seems everyone has formed absolute opinions based solely on two seasons of Ross Hodge as if there aren't dozens of ways to construct a winning roster. there is no guarantee that every transfer that walks in here will be better than Stevenson, Stinson or Horton. we have a pretty exciting group of underclassmen currently and a new coach who has shown he's willing to play talented freshmen and sophomores. hit the panic button if our next three signees are true freshmen, but until then calm the eff down.

      Good point, I wouldn’t give to NIL if my $ was being redistributed to athletes at other schools. Don’t know if it is part of this proposal, but would be hard for a program to agree to share concession sales, ticket sales and local advertising sales with other schools. Some sort of model that shared 50% of national broadcast rights with athletes could work. I also have a hard time with the morality of using student fees to pay a small forward. And any model that doesn’t use student fees to pay a small forward will leave UNT behind.
