We have a pretty loaded RB room. I am not bashing Jahbari, he seems to be a pretty talented kid. I think this was just a matter of need. His production was down, and we hired a new staff. It probably just didn't make a lot of sense to sign another RB when we currently have 4 quality backs in the rotation and 2-3 more signed over previous years that will take over when they graduate. I bet an FCS school will pick him up and he lights it up. 

2021: 176-1,603-14 rushing (9.1 ypc) and 7-42-0 receiving as a junior.

2022: 117-719-10 rushing (6.1 ypc) and 10-75-1 receiving as a senior

I think this is a pretty accurate line of thinking. We have limited ships and RB isn' a place of need right now. I feel bad put the kid in a tough position, hope he finds a good home.

247 used to be on top of their updates. It now seems they are focusing on the P5s and getting around to the G5s as time permits.

Want a good laugh?  Look at 247’s roster breakdowns per position. I think they still list Joe Greene as a fifth year senior.

As it pertains to us, Brune worked there. Since he left we don’t have anyone on the inside, so to speak.

QB Depth: Ja'Michael Brown (committed to us in 2014 as a WR), Will Kuehne and Armani Gilmore.

S Depth: Jevin Murray and Jordan Nichols

CB: Donshay Douglas and Tavorice Weaver

OT: Eric Williams, Jacob Farrell and Rayvon Crum

RB: Nick Smith and Roderick Brown

If Seth’s staff thought he was going to be a good running back, he probably will be. He missed on plenty, but I don’t recall Littrell missing on a running back much, if at all.

Ja’michael Brown didn’t commit to us as a WR. It’s even worse. He committed to us, and played, for basketball.

I think a kid that works for the NT Daily also covers us on 247 now. His name is like Reed Smith or something like that.

Correct and who in the world is Donshay Douglas?  I also don't ever recall the RB by the name of Roderick Brown.

      Ummm where did you see that UNT's endowment is that high? Also, I doubt we could have hired Sanders. If you're interested in that kind of a gamble, would you be interested in Jason Witten who appears to be following the Sanders path? We could be his Jackson State.

      I find this thread comical. A program that wouldn't even pursuit Sanders as he was getting ready to leave Jackson State. They held on to Littrell could actually win something in year 7 is going to kick out Coach ELF and his flashy offense after year 2? 🤣. You can't give tickets away because it is so poorly managed and underperforming. If I were tasked with actually sabatoging the program in a covert manner I couldn't do it better. I wouldn't think I would get away with hiring a coach with no college experience as my head coach and retaining another coach for 7 years with nothing to show for it. Hell why aim low, let's go get Jason Garrett. He has NFL experience. 🤣🤣🤣

      That is comical. 🤣 The only thing that makes things move in a capitalist soceity is money. And our Football program doesn't generate it. I refuse to continue to waste my time with a core fanbase that seems not to understand that. A fanbase that 💩on even the idea of pursuing a transcendent force with a home and other local tie in the North Texas region like Coach Sanders. Colorado Budget/Endowment: 2.3 Billion North Texas: 2.6 Billion Colorado Student Enrollment: 37k North Texas: 47 k There is no excuse for a program in a perfect position to reap the most benefit from Sanders jumping up from FCS to FBS for not pursuing Sanders PUBLICLY. Retaining Seth Littrell in the foolish misguided hope that he would go beyond 0.500 vs FBS competition in year 6 was a low aspirational budget conscious decision. It communicated to me this program doesn't care to sell more tickets nor win. Only when have ridiculous nationally embarrassing outing does this program respond with minimal conventional competency, making staffing moves. We wouldn't be debating this level of idiocy any fanboard for a respectable program. Who brings back the WORST DC in all of FBS for year 2 and NOT fire the head coach who wanted to give him another chance when he fails in year 2? My donations will go strictly to the academic side of the house from now on. Long story short if Eric Morris performs in a underwhelming fashion Morris and Jared need to be gone.

      The long snapper had an injury a couple of games ago. I don't think it was serious, but it may have some effect on the recent FG issues.

      Yet they are placing us there via their ranking committee. Regardless, Tulane boxing the truck stops out of the playoffs entirely would be a nice shiny bow on an already unbelievable year.
