DENTON, Texas – North Texas women's basketball (15-11, 9-7) welcomes the UTEP Miners (14-13, 6-11), on Saturday afternoon inside the Super Pit. Tip-off is slated for 2 p.m. (CT) and will air on ESPN+. The voice of Mean Green women's hoops, Zac Babb, will have the call on KNTU 88.1 FM.

North Texas will honor its six graduating seniors before the game starting approximately 30 minutes before tip-off. Graduate assistant, Rayanna Carter, Amber Dixon, Aly Gamez, Trena Mims, Emma Villas-Gomis, and Madison Townley will be recognized on the floor.

To win the western division, the Mean Green must take care of business against UTEP. The Miners come into this game reeling a bit. They have lost six out of their last seven. Conversely, UNT has won seven of its last eight for the late season push up the standings.

UNT will turn its attention to the Conference USA Tournament at The Star in Frisco. The opening round of the tourney begins on March 8th

QUOTING HEAD COACH JALIE MITCHELL
"First and foremost, its senior day tomorrow. We're looking forward to celebrating our six that are graduating. It's always a bittersweet day because they've meant so much to our program. I'm glad we can recognize their contributions with their families in attendance. As far as UTEP goes, it's a big game. I thought when we went to their place, we weren't playing our best basketball. Looking back at it, there's a lot of things we could do differently. Even though we held UTSA to 51, I thought it could have been better. During this quick turnaround, that is something we will button up for Saturday."
