No matter where I look, it seems that NT is pegged for a 12 seed in all predictions as an auto-qualifier for winning C-USA.

But I see BUBBLE teams in the latest bracketology that are getting 10 & 11 seeds.
For instance, Memphis is currently slated as an 11, and San Francisco is a 10, as is SDSU.
Davidson appears to be much like us (projected to have an AQ spot for winning the A10, which, admittedly, is a stronger basketball conference than C-USA) and has an AQ 11 seed, but if both NT & Davidson fell in their conference tourneys, we'd be right around each other on the bubble (they are currently 4 spots below NT in the NET rankings) along with Memphis, San Francisco, & SDSU, who are all currently slated for higher at-large seeds than us.

Obviously, we want to win C-USA and remove any doubt we're dancing... but could it possibly be beneficial, seeding-wise, to lose the final to a Quad 1 UAB & get an 11 (or possibly 10) as a BUBBLE team?

I would say no. I have a hard time believing that if we beat UTEP, run the C-USA tourney and beat a quad 1 UAB in the final that we'd be stuck on the 12-line...personally I only think we're still on most 12 lines bc of Lunardi-esque laziness, but maybe that's being biased.

if we lose in the tourney and still manage an at-large bid, I think we'd be in line for what Lunardi has projected for the Missouri Valley right now...Loyola-Chicago as an at-large in a 12/12 game; UNI as an AQ as a 14...so, UNT playing Tuesday night and UAB as a 13/14 depending on how other chips fall.

I read one review that said our ceiling is a 10.

That's been an exception, though.  I've mostly read 11 (if we win out CUSA tourney)

IMO, we're strongly entrenched at the 11 spot, and a 12 spot would mean we've dropped, probably from losing early.
