University of Houston enrollment

The Houston Chronicle today announced the projected Fall 2002 enrollment at UH to be 34,100. If both UH and UNT continue to grow at their current rates UNT will pass UH next year to be third in enrollment behind UT and A&M.

Next year? Wow I didn't figure we'd pass U of H for another 5 years or so. That's awesome.

What's UNT at now? I heard from the dir. of admissions that UH would be at 35,000 this year. Maybe the Chron. is figuring for some late drops.

What is UNT's proportion of undergrads/grads? UH is something like 25,000 undergrad and 9-10K grad.

With all that land, A&M seems like it could expand its enrollment.
