Best Case Scenario

Players and coaches should NEVER get ahead of themselves.....but I can.

So obviously the best case....VERY BEST CASE is UNT wins the national championship but let's look at best case leading up to the start of the tourney.

We have 2 more regular season games and then up to 3 conference tourney games. If we win out we're looking at a possible top 25 ranking. In Denton, TX will sit a 27-4 basketball team with the #1 defense in the country, undefeated on the road.

Our 4 losses:

3 points to 19-8 Buffalo

12 points to 23-5 #6 ranked KU

6 points to 20-9 Miami

6 points to 22-7 UAB

Latest Bracketology I saw had us at an 11 seed. If we win out, that will be our floor.

So best case leading up to the tourney if we win out....we will get national attention that I don't think any of us have seen before. The national experts are going to be going nuts for us and we will be the darlings heading into March Madness.

Best case scenario:

2018 Loyola Chicago run to the final 4 and I’m out several thousand dollars. Would rather lose money than lose my emotions after a CUSA quarterfinal loss

I don't think any of us can really imagine the level of press we'd get if we actually made a Final Four run. Hell, even if we make the Sweet 16 as the lowest seed remaining the press corps will descend on Denton to write up every story you can possibly imagine.
