These two seem extremely dangerous.  MTSU just beat a WKU squad yesterday,  Hilltopper squad that was really finding its form.

We are likely playing one of them in Frisco.  What do you think? Are they better than UAB/LT?

According to Middle Tennessee fans they fully believe they are the best team, have the best player in the league, and their coach will win Coach of the year in the conference. Like 100% believe it. Go to the CUSA Twitter, insta, Facebook etc…

I thought they were meh and WKU posses a much bigger threat.

We have 4 games before we could play MTSU. Let’s finish the season before we start talking conference tournament final.

This is GMG.com, not the coach's meeting room.

Oh Hells No.

They're both competitive in the eastern division kiddie pool but... WKU plays close games but loses every single important one and Middle School gets rolled when they step on the court against the Big Three from CUSA West.

Essentially the Big Three have to play really poorly to let these two schools be factors.

I want to see La Tech and UAB have to battle it out in the other side of the bracket and for us get to run roughshod through those eastern tulips.

Considering WKU lost by less than five to all three of us, I wouldn't say we have play poorly to let them be factors.  Plus they have the most talent in the conference.

Other than us MTSU is the hottest team in the league.

I wouldn't be surprised if we don't have to play either LA Tech or UAB in the tournament.

Kudos to SportDawg on the La Tech board.

Here are the CUSA brackets based upon today's records. Seedings can obviously change.

This would be good but I'd prefer La Tech somehow be in the other bracket.

I will leave it to some of you to asses how the final two games for each team could affect these tournament seedings.

Please post remaining game predictions and forecasts of how it could affect North Texas in the tournament.

Remember MTSU also has bulletin board material after Pre-Season Poll picked them to be dead last, they are firmly in the kiss our @$$ media mode.

Do you get the love behind any team besides North Texas?

As far as conference foes, I worry more about UAB and LA Tech than WKU this year.  I think UAB is a match up nightmare for us.

Think of it this way: UAB is the matchup nightmare.  WKU is the talent nightmare.  They are not consistent, but when they put it altogether they will beat anyone in CUSA.

I wish people would own up on our identity more.  We are punching well above our weight because of our mental and defensive toughness.  But LT and UAB, and a few others on their good nights, are hanging with us toe-for-toe.

I'm kinda torn between a couple things:
1) I recognize that we are winning when things aren't all going to plan.  Like our LT win the other night, we won despite Perry being waay off.  So, in that regard, we could be VERY good if we put it altogether.  Like, S16 or better good.
2) I still feel very strongly that we are one momentum swing, or a mental lapse away from losing to to the likes of UAB,  LT, or WKU on a good day..

EDIT: Follow-up.  One possible take-away from all this is that the 3 bigs in CUSA West really are that good, and it's a shame at least one of them (likely two) will be left out of the NCAA.
