We have good depth at the long snapper position.

Does anyone know if we have now used 2 scholarships on long snappers in this class?  Important position sure, but I would hope this isn't the case.

Edit: Answering my own question here but yes, we have in fact used 2 of our limited scholarships on long snappers.

I doubt either player was offered a scholarship.

The WVU transfer is definitely on scholarship and while this juco transfer is less certain, usually using language like offer and commitment are for scholarship opportunities.  And if you check out his twitter feed it's full of teammates saying "you deserved this, it's about time" stuff like that, I feel like they usually don't say stuff like that for a walk on chance but who knows.

I mean, I wouldn't be shocked if we offered 2 deep snappers. That is how much faith I have in our recruiting.

Preferred Walk-on is another option.

I always assume it is a PWO or walk-on when it isn't announced by the staff.

The Juco doesn't have the same committed picture like the rest of the scholarship commitments.

I don't think SL has ever signed a kicker or punter to a scholarship, much less a longsnapper.  (Maybe Cole Hedlund for that one year; but I don't think so)  I would be shocked if he signed 2 LS's in the same class to scholarships.
