Scoring its most points all season pushed North Texas to its 13th consecutive victory on Thursday as it knocked off the University of Southern Mississippi 85-61.

With the victory, head coach Grant McCasland picked up his 100th win with the Mean Green. McCasland is the fourth UNT coach to reach 100 wins and second-fastest to hit the mark at 155 games coached, trailing former coach Bill Blakely (1975-83) who did so in 153 games. When asked about what the milestone meant to him, he deferred credit to some of the key players who have fueled his teams’ successes through the years
