Murray was big on defense but there were some other big plays tonight.

Drez was pretty quiet but hit that late 3 from the top to keep us in the game.

Rubin driving, losing control of the ball, regaining control to hit the shot. Also had a block, then saved the ball from going out of bounds.

Abou was big on the boards limiting UAB to one shot. Still would like to see him be more aggressive going to the rim.

Scott huge hustle plays.

Perry was the star but everyone pitched in. Great team.

Don’t forget Scott! He had some huge rebounds and a key bucket if I remember right

Need drake and witchita st to sneak into the top 75.

Drake was a neutral game so they would need to move in the top 50 for that to be quad 1.

My mistake. At the bottom of my post I wrote “Jones with huge hustle plays”, but I meant Scott. Corrected now.

Why did TB3 struggle last night? He had 10 points in the first meeting

Early foul trouble and never got into a rhythm. He made some very uncharacteristic mistakes on the defensive end a few times.

I agree, I think he’ll be fine going forward

He went 13/11 and was one of our leading scorers.

3/9 from the floor and missed 7 of 14 from the free throw line, plus 4 turnovers with 0 assists. He was able to make an impact, especially rebounding, but if we’re being objective he did struggle that day on offense.

This. He was awful on offense in the FAU game.

Wichita State lost in double OT today to Houston. That was their chance.

No clue what Wichita State was thinking after they tied it up with 5.4 seconds left.  Apply some pressure damnit.  It was like they were afraid they might foul and Houston went down the court unmolested and won the game with a two handed (and uncontested) flush.

UAB (20-7, 10-4 C-USA) turned a five-point deficit into a six-point lead with an 11-0 run in the game's closing minutes, taking a 55-49 lead with 1:55 remaining when Tavin Lovan drilled a jumper in the paint.

North Texas (20-4, 13-1 C-USA) hit three 3-pointers in the final 1:55 to snap UAB's 16-game winning streak in Bartow Arena.
