UNT FOOTBALL: Mean Green’s 2022 Schedule Announced

North Texas opens 2022 with back-to-back home games

DENTON, Texas – UNT’s 2022 football schedule features six home games and begins with back-to-back dates at Apogee Stadium against in-state opponents SMU and Texas Southern, Conference USA announced Tuesday.

The Mean Green will host DFW rival SMU on Sept. 3 and Texas Southern on Sept. 10 before traveling to face UNLV at Allegiant Stadium on Sept. 17. North Texas wraps up non-conference action the following week on Sept. 24 against future American Athletic Conference opponent Memphis at historic Liberty Bowl Stadium.

Home conference dates include Rice (Oct. 1), Southern Miss (Oct. 22), FIU (Nov. 5) and Louisiana Tech (Nov. 19). Conference USA road trips for the Mean Green include Marshall (Oct. 15), UAB (Oct. 29), UTSA (Nov. 12) and UTEP (Nov. 26).

Eight of UNT’s 12 regular season games will be played in the state of Texas, and the Mean Green will face two future rivals from The American in Memphis and SMU. All dates are subject to change for television consideration.

The winners of Conference USA’s east and west divisions will meet in the 2022 Ryan Conference USA Championship game on Saturday, December 3. The game will be televised by CBS Sports Network.

UNT football season ticket renewals for the 2022 season are available through the North Texas Athletics Ticket Office now. Season ticket holders may log into their account now to process their invoice. Season ticket holders acting fast can utilize 2- to 6-month payment plans. Please note that invoices are based on 2021 season ticket seat locations. Adjustments to seat locations can be made by contacting the North Texas Athletics Ticket Office.
