For those that remember the MLB work stoppage in ‘94, it did do some damage to MLB and it basically took steroids to bring it back….there are still people that left baseball and didn’t come back. Now we’re in another one. This one sucks personally because 1) I do love baseball and am a lifelong Ranger fan but more importantly, 2) my kids are starting to get into baseball which makes it even more fun. And now……the owners don’t suffer, the players don’t suffer but as usual the fans suffer.

I feel like college baseball took a little step up last year in interest and I don’t understand why it’s not a bigger deal. I mean it’s baseball with the passion of college football. The games are exciting to watch.

If the Mean Green football team is playing at the same time as The Cowboys, I will watch the Mean Green 10/10 times. If my alma mater had a baseball team…..I would probably not care as much about MLB.

Just sayin……

Right there with you (as if the pain of being a Mean Green fan is not enough)

Watch some, but personally I am not a fan of the aluminum bats

The new ones don’t have that same “ding” as the old ones. That has helped a little.

What’s interesting to me is the lack of coverage that college baseball gets. It’s difficult to find on the ESPN app, updates, rankings, games to watch, etc. maybe the difference between college baseball/MLB and college football/NFL is baseball has a minor leagues instead of colleges being the minor leagues.  I wonder what college baseball would’ve been like if a Mike Trout or Fernando Tatis Jr played for LSU or Texas, etc.

100% agree.

Aluminum or composite, it doesn’t matter how well they play, in my mind I’m watching an older boys little league game. The wood bat and the sounds that go along with it are what says big time baseball to my inner child and that will never change.
