I know we have several Mean Green sports podcasts out there but most if not all are football heavy and rarely talk much on Mean Green Hoops.

If anyone knows of one, please share.

GMG!

Gonna list all the ways I currently feed my Mean Green fix.  Limiting this to unofficial/non-MGS.com sources:

MeanGreenNation (pods and articles)
Taking The Fields // Mean Green 247 Sports
Firing Boomer (main website is dead rn.  Looks like they only want to talk football)
Mean Green Show (strictly football)
GMG.com's very own Barbershop and Recruiting pods

...lastly, I strongly suggest - if you haven't already, learning how to use Twitter lists.  I never visit my main feed anymore.  You can organize/filter information by grouping user accounts together. I have a dedicated Mean Green Twitter List.  170+ Mean Green-related accounts on it. Very fluid, obviously, as players come in and go, but you get information in about as real-time as it gets.  Here are some of them (*of note, you don't have to follow accounts to put them on a list.*):

@UNTManiacs
@TylerLukerNTD
@firingboomer
@UNTspecialists
@GMGsportsnews
@JohnFields0
@UNT_fbvideo
@GhostOfFouts
@rMeanGreen
@Reed_Smith25
@MeanGreen247
@GeorgeMatsakis
@10A3_
@mack_morris6
@MeanJoeStatue
@UNTEsports
@UNTMBBManagers
@BarstoolUNT

I would love to do one with an old high school  classmate who also runs highly touted podcast and website for the Mavericks. My issue is I have all the knowledge of the sport and the team history; however I do not have the voice for it. He has the voice but not the knowledgeable UNT.  Lol.

@Censored by Laurie@TheTastyGreek - You know what to do.

Sorry, buddy. All of my podcasting energy is currently directed at my other sports passion: fighting roosters. I miss The Peach Basket, but I have too much time invested in "The Combat Chicken Hour", available weekly on Apple and Spotify. Some people may have a voice strong enough to do more than one online radio show, but all those 'cocks are more than enough to wear out this old throat of mine.

Very easy pass on that one!

I used to wonder sometimes whether you were a listener or not.

On the one hand, it was sound and not text, so you wouldn't wear out your mouth reading along, or need anyone to help you sound out the bigger words.

On the other hand, there were no pictures to keep your attention.

Mystery solved!

Idk the date but I did. They popped up at the top. Idk 2010-2016 somewhere in there for sure.

I don’t require pictures. None are used on podcasts unless it’s a trivia podcast where their website offers an image round or let’s you print the answer document. With sports no images. Some like the locked on network also do YouTube. I suppose that’s visuals….?

I was mostly referring to either questionable knowledge of team or sport. Only in basketball. Though I have season tickets to football I pay less attention there. Never stop following Basketball even during the off season.

My other guy on FiringBoomer has been busy as of recent and we haven’t really been able to record Basketball.

But that should change
