I thought Rubin played a really solid game today.  He hit some big threes throughout the game and made those clutches free throws on the double tech.  Outside of that, he controlled the pace of the game and played his typical strong defense.  He came up big when needed in Tyler's absence.

I think Rubin has the highest ceiling of anyone on the roster. I'd like to see him look to score and attack a bit more.

I agree. There are times he gets into the lane and ends up stuck or kicking the ball back out. I like when he has been aggressive and attacked the rim.

Grant told Dave in the post game that they’re working on the controlled aggression aspects of Rubin’s game. That when he’s intentional, he’s hard to stop. Has to work on the over aggressiveness at times that leads to sloppiness. Said that as a 2nd year player that it comes with more time on the floor - and having Perry out against ODU gave Rubin time to be more ball dominant.

Agree with you and Lifer that he’s got a very high ceiling and he continues to develop.

I’d like to see Rubin handle the ball more when Perry is in the game. I think it would be easier to get Perry open looks if he’s coming off of off-ball screens. Can’t do that as the ball handler/initiator.

Don’t need to fully take the ball out of Perry’s hands, but just let him and Rubin switch it up a little.

100%. Makes the offense much more versatile and since Perry is such a deadly, but undersized, shooter - I think it’d be a great way to get him the ball with a better chance to get the 3 pt shot off cleanly.

Exactly. He doesn’t need much space to get a good shot off and I’d love to see more volume there with how good he is. Absolute elite shooter.
