Yes, movement is all based on when OU and UT move to the SEC.  I would guess probably 23-24.  Then AAC schools can move to Big?12 as replacements, then CUSA to AAC, etc.

Texas (or OU) is muddying the water. Texas is wanting to buyout their ESPN contract and depart the Big XII after the '22 season but OU doesn't want to leave until the contract is up...24-25?  That could mean that the '23 season will have the Big XII with 13 teams.  If the Big XII doesn't allow the four new teams in that'll leave the league with only nine members and possibly void their "playoff" championship game.  There is even a remote possibility that it could hold up the six CUSA teams to the AAC.

I believe that expansion happens after this year and by the start of the '23 season all changes will be resolved.

think it is to late to have WB and SL call Judy and ask for our spot back?    I don't think we can play in the AAC anymore.    With UAB, UTSA, WKU gone we might stand a chance of finishing second in the conference.   WB and SL get ready to pucker up!

In that case why not just go D2 and be the best sh*t on turd mountain?

I'm honestly not expecting much in the football realm but I can't wait to see what our basketball program can do in the AAC. For me, it's time to move forward understanding building a successful football program is highly unlikely under the rules. That said, March Madness Basketball is the best because anybody can make a run. UNT basketball in the AAC sounds like lots of UNT basketball in March to me. I can't wait to see what our Mean Green can do in AAC basketball.

OU and UT don’t want to fork over the full amount of money required for them to leave early.  And the Big 12 gets their cut of their home games till 2025 regardless of when they leave.  That means those big checks from Texas/OU hosting A&M, LSU, Arkansas and etc. will have Big 12 chunks taken out of them.  That is the understanding I get from John Kurtz.  https://youtube.com/channel/UCYKMXVCgo3h9fK5BtxDIorg
