While high school players cannot sign until the regular signing period opens on Feb. 2, transfers can sign with new schools at any time and North Texas is pursuing plenty of those combined with a few high schoolers in recent days. It has already added a pair of transfers to its haul of nine Early Signing Day additions in Cisco College kicker/punter Kaleb Cue and Central Arkansas defensive back Nick Nakwaasah.

“Now until February is obviously going to be a huge stretch for us in making sure we finish off the class the right way,” head coach Seth Littrell said at his Early Signing Day press conference on Dec. 15. “All these bowl games, with the transfer portal and everything going into it, you just never know how it’s going to end up. I feel really good about adding 12 to 14 [players] at this point.”

Appreciate the article and all but is there really any news here?  Seems like a lot of “at the end of the day”, “culture” and a smidge of “we need to be solid in all 4 phases” Littrell-speak to me.
