sorry but this is way beyond NIL, this is recruit tampering and even NCAA should see this as serious violation and more than likely because it is EMU they will make an example out of them

The problem is in their hurry to get something out there and allow this to happen there were no serious thoughts giving on how to regulate. I guess they thought everyone would be very ethical in this process (extreme sarcasm meant). The same as with tampering with players who have not entered the portal. There is no way for them to regulate contacting players before they enter the portal. This will only get worse and I'm not sure at this point how they get control of it.

At least the offer is public.

What about offers made under the table and not made public?

I wonder how long it will be before the IRS forms a NIL tracking division 😇

Or the conglomerate of former Texas players shelling out millions to flip recruits to Austin.

I applaud Charlie Batch for the move. By doing this, he is pointing out how asinine this new system is knowing full well that there isn’t a dollar figure he could produce that the P5 wouldn’t surpass. Well played.

According to the tweet comments, and take those for what they’re worth, he is rumored to have turned down well over a million from several schools already.

Just about as amazing as when someone supports it when it fits their narrative

Does the NIL become more important to a recruit than facilities? ( looker room, weight room eg.) Somewhere in the pecking order the NIL is going to become more important than what was a priority in the past.

Depends on the person.

Getting a real commie vibe from these responses to NIL payments. Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his brow?

Serious question. Should an athlete get money from NIL AND a free education/housing/meals or just one of the 2?

Didn’t that get settled in the bowl bonus payout thread? The answer is very clearly “not if I’m mad at them.”

Apples and oranges. One is paid with company profits, one is paid with taxpayer money.

since you didn’t answer, I assume you meant to say yes?
