Right, so we just say Go and then our Team name. Seems like we could do better.

Actually, the phrase became so popular that the nickname became more used than our mascot.

Put that lens on anything and you get the same feeling:

"Sic'm...Bears" for Bears?
"Hook'm Horns" for Longhorns?

All pretty straightforward and not complicated.

We have one of the most uniquely appropriate and memorable tags in all college sports and it is extraordinarily recognizable and associated with North Texas. Thank the Good Lord we possess legal ownership of it as well !

GO MEAN GREEN !

I feel as if I know most other schools “saying” in Texas

Texas- hook’em horns

Baylor- Sic’em

Aggies- Gig’em

Tech- Wreck’em

So what is UNTs?

"At least we're not as bad as we used to be"

“Roll Tide” and “Fight On” aren’t all that creative…but they seem to be working for years and years now.

Why do we always feel like we need to change things??

My daughter-in-law is a TCU graduate, and a very loyal fan of the Frogs. So, whenever they have done anything noteworthy in sports, I simply send her a text that says, "Riff Ram".  It's part of their very unique school yell that has survived the 1920's....... or whenever it was first uttered.  And I have to confess that I feel a little bit of envy after the exchange with her. Theirs is very unique, even though by today's standards it's an archaic and dumb yell.

But at least ours is very generic..............😎.

What about that "gig 'em" from the Aggies?   That must have started from TAMC cadets on training maneuvers, survival school, etc.  You know, eating off the land, gigging frogs for food.  Hey, I'm just spit balling here.
