Dion Novil: Thank You

Part of the 2017 recruiting class arriving in Denton as a two star - .7803 rated DT at 6'3" and 250 lbs.  He was a late addition to the class being offered in January, one month prior to signing day.  Man, what a find he was.  Thank you for returning for your extra year and for how you represented our university.  Hoping to see you play on Sundays.  Young man had one heck of a career.

Best defensive player on the team and maybe best player on either side.  

He also was not too good to play in the bowl game, although he has a better chance at the NFL than the one who sit out.

Totally agree.  He gave it his all and that was plenty.  Thank you and good luck in your future.

Just watched the highlight video and Novil didn’t seem to make much of an impact. Looked like he was double teamed almost every play.

Being double teamed is an impact.  It leaves 10 of your guys against 9 of theirs.
