What happened to the Pit Crew

Out of towner, so if this is common knowledge, I apologize, but what happened to the Pit Crew?  This seemed to be a grassroots, student-led effort (the best kind IMHO), but it’s now replaced with something else?

Hopefully this is not revisionist history, but It largely died when the people helping run it started graduating in the 2011-2012 time frame and years subsequent. It was weakened by that and totally done in by the Benford era.   With that said I don’t know why SGA and NT Athletics (which undoubtedly provided support) have not tried to resurrect it.

2007-2009, but seems right outside of that.
