For next season are there any rumors of assistants that might be moving on? I know it's good in most cases when you can retain the staff, but with all of the HC changes not sure if any of the assistants might be moving.

Notice someone missing??   I do.

Just happens to be a dude that needed to be replaced...  and I know JUST THE GUY, or JUST THE OTHER, EQUALLY-QUALIFIED GUY.

Make it happen Seth & Wren, and I'll be 100% back on board the Littrell train.

Holy crap.

We've now gone two years without a QB coach? No wonder they're freakin awful.

I would like to see us go after John Kitna current HC at Burleson . He had a strong college career and had been a starter and back  up in the NFL. He has also been coaching at the HS level in Texas. Would bring some street creds!

And the family looks good in Green!

Kitna makes too much sense for Seth. Nah, we gotta find a third string QB on Art Briles' 2006 Houston team. That'll produce a quality starter

Agree, it makes too much sense. Promotes QS?

This is the least-disruptive move.  I would not put this past Littrell... in the past.
I don't have any doubt Coach Shanbour is gonna be a good coach, but I'm not sure I'd trust him with my job if I'm Littrell.   I think Coach Littrell will shoot for the moon on this one (at least, after watching my QB play for the past 2 years, I would if I were him).   And it's apparent Wren will give him every chance to succeed, so I don't doubt Wren would cough up the funds for a home run hire if Littrell can land one.

I think it’ll be quite the shuffle up . Look for sterling Gilbert as the QB coach

Don't know him, but Sterlin Gilbert would be a pretty good hire if he wants to go all-in with Briles' offense!   Gilbert was a GA at Houston with Briles, and was Montgomery's OC at Tulsa and most-recently, Babers' OC at Syracuse... all Briles disciples.

I dunno that I want Gilbert calling offensive plays, but at least he could coach up a QB in that system, as we saw Dane Evans from Sanger light it up under him at Tulsa while they were there.

That would be the best QB coach hire we've had since GH. Considering he's competing against Reeder's failed year and two years of no QB coach, the bar isn't very high but good lord something is better than nothing

Also don’t see a WR coach. Am I missing it?  is SL working the phones?

Yes the WR coach is Tommy Maynord.

We need Filani back. I like Mainord, but we have missed Filani.

Todd Dodge will be available.

Todd Dodge is a phenomenal quarterback coach. If he’d do it, I’d be ok with it. It wouldn’t be like throwing him to the wolves as head coach again.
