Inaugural Bowl Games

Last year we played in the inaugural Myrtle Beach Bowl and it looks like we will be playing in another inaugural Bowl Game. What are the odds of that, has it ever happening before?  I just hope we don’t lay an egg this time.

So we seem to be in more inaugural Bowl games than anyone else and also get in more bowl games than anyone else with five wins. Not sure if that's a good thing or we're like the designated homecoming opponent for these games

After I posted this I remembered the Salad Bowl and I believe that might have been the first one as well. Seems kind of unusual to me. Might be a really good trivia question.
