I can't help but remember that six years ago we were laying down the red carpet for Coach Fuente and his family and talking about what amazing people they all were and what a worthy successor he was to Coach Beamer. And I'm getting a lot of the same vibes regarding the welcome we've extended to Coach Pry.

That's not a criticism. I'm just thinking of the practical day to day things that come from being ousted from a place where you were once beloved. For example, is his house already sold? Is he even still in Blacksburg? If not, where does he take his family since it is unlikely other schools will be beating down the door to hire him.

I know many will say, "Who cares. I'm just glad he's gone." But I've always been interested in what happens after the lights are turned off. Just curious if anyone has any inside knowledge or knows from past experience in these situations.

It'd be nice if your title reflected that any hate was coming from Virginia Tech. And even then I would suspect that very few people there actually hate him.

When you look at who the played, how well they played, and what they were facing with injuries, It can be argued that Virginia Tech played pretty well this season outside of the upsets to Boston College. Syracuse, and the Pitt game.

Fuente faced a lot of adversity during his time at Va Tech, some of it admittedly of his own doing. Despite leaving Blacksburg with an overall winning record, he was always starting behind the barrel having to replace a legend.

Also, the thread title talks about hating Fuente but literally only 1 person on that thread even indirectly talked about hating Fuente.
