It's going to be called the "You All Come " Bowl to be played on the campus of UTA in their football stadium which is no longer used for that purpose as they no longer play the sport. Any recent California transplant gets in free with a donation of canned fruit.

I would think this might be the "Austin Bowl" they've been talking about for a long time, but never have done.   They'll likely play it at DKR, or the new Q2 Stadium where Austin FC plays.

The game is in Frisco per Mcmurphy.

Rose Capital Bowl (after all, Tyler is the Rose Capital of America)

That’s their claim but since I got engaged at the Portland Rose Garden over the summer I tend to disagree.

DKR would be stupid empty, Q2 would be a great venue for a small bowl though.

This would be terrible.    EMU might bring 1k people, and they'd get completely annihilated by us.
That would really over-inflate a bunch of people's beliefs in Littrell & Co. around here, as they're already too high.

I'd still much rather see the Tulsa matchup, because it would give us a good barometer of how ready we are for AAC play in 2023.  Tulsa over-achieved this season and is a middle-of-the-pack AAC team.   If we can beat them, then I'd be a lot more comfortable with letting Littrell ride this thing out another year at least.   If we lose a close one..., we'll see (circumstances/competitiveness & whatnot).   If we get blown out, he'd need to go.

Green Eagles vs Mean Green Eagles in some Instant-Presto Just-Add-Water Bowl.

Maybe not quite the same nostalgia as the Tournament of Roses and Rose Bowl, but if it's what we get, let's make the absolute most of it.

No G5 teams north of the Mason Dixon Line, please. A P5 opponent north of that line would be just fine, though.

I hope they have it later in the month rather than moving it right to the front of the schedule. Sadly the rest of the country will look at this as the Participation Trophy Bowl for the last 2 teams in

EMU might bring 1k people - Good, and they'll be wearing green

They'd get completely annihilated by us - Good (if ECU cooperates), we could use a bowl victory

This bowl is not some reward for an outstanding season, it's an opportunity to finish righting the ship, improving perceptions, and building momentum for future seasons. We'll need to make it a celebration.

There are few aspects of this bowl season that we are truly in charge of. We need to make the most of every opportunity.
