WBB Wins Thanksgiving Classic at Cal Poly

The UNT Women were crowned champions of the Thankgiving Classic at Cal Poly after winning both their games.  They came back from a 17-point deficit against Montana State in the first game to win 87-78 and totally overwhelmed a winnless St. Thomas team 81-54 in the second game, playing the bench for a large portion of the game.  Amber Dixon had a stellar tournament performance, scoring a career-high 26 points against Montana State and 15 points against St. Thomas.  She also had 6 and 7 rebounds in the two games.

The UNT Women now have a 4-2 record and  host SMU at The Super Pit this Friday at 6:30 p.m.  Let's support the team against SMU...GMG!

Montana State is terrible, but they absolutely shot the lights out from behind the arc for the first quarter and a half against the Mean Green. The last 2.5 quarters we outscored them by around 25. Credit to our team for weathering the storm.

Wins over weak teams out west, but good to win away anytime.

Still very disappointed losing to UTA.  UTA is a good team, but NT (Mitchell) should never lost to them especially at home. 

It is time for Mitchell to produce.  Last year was her best year and NT gets upset in a first round CUSA tournament game. 

There is absolutely no reason that Mitchell should have been given a contract revision for more years and dollars.  Other than NT has to give the woman coach, a new contract if they give the men's coach one.
