Most of the time, that is true.

I get what you’re saying, but I think if we were 10-0 and lost to them in the last game of the regular season, our season would be ruined.

He chose his word poorly.  Coach Traylor means to say we can ruin their “perfect” season. 
 

I fully expect us to do just that.

When I worked for a sports radio station in Arkansas in 2011, one of our guests was Mike Leach. I was the producer so it was my job to call him to get him on the air. When I called him we had about five minutes before the show was ready to get back on the air and we ended up having an epic conversation about rain in Texas. I will never forget the rant he went on for those five minutes. Him and Beano Cook were the two guests I had the most fun talking to before the show
