The Mean Green held a 43-12 halftime lead, with the 12 points for UTA matching the fewest it has ever scored in a 1st half in the 62+ year history of the program (12 at then-No. 1 Kentucky on Nov. 25, 2014).

Wow that is an amazing stat!  Agree and love the defense as well.

That 1st half was impressive. The 2nd half was a strong defensive show and would win games, but that 1st half wins championships.

And they would have been held to less had we not let up.  Make no mistake, we didn’t fail to perform in that second half, we LET them breathe because Mac has class

Yep.  We emptied the bench, thankfully.

The level of attentiveness and engagement on the defensive end is incredibly fun to watch. Every time Abou gets down into a defensive stance, I nearly leave my feet with excitement. Strength and conditioning coach Andrew Wright deserves a game ball.
