If one school has one Vote (simplified) I could easily see the P5 conferences expanding again. The PAC 12 has to make a move. The biggest opportunity, is access to the central time zone schools and games. This will give the Pac12 schools the biggest exposure benefit to the rest of the country. TCU and Baylor I could see for starters. The SEC one day will have their own separate deal!

That would rule out a huge portion of many P5 schools. Maybe cut that down to $50m minimum budget.

I think most of the P5s are already at or above $100M

I think this is why you are seeing schools like SHSU make a push for FBS status now even when they probably are not ready.

Why wouldn’t they separate? Clowns like Judy constantly keep adding to the already inflated number of FBS schools, diluting the value of the G5 as a whole.

I highly doubt the AAC is above the "split" line.

I think eventually it'll be down to 32 teams in the top division.

The split has basically already happened. I think the CFP is the start. As soon as enough pressure builds to really let in someone other than the P5’s they want in, I think they’ll roll off and start their own thing.

I think the only thing holding them back is trying to find out a way to remove teams already in the current P5s and get them out of current their conferences.
