Just committed to Missouri State.  The only reason I know of him is from following our RB commitment Qualon Farrar all season.  Henry has put up some pretty big numbers.  Has anyone seen him play in person?

Here are his stats:

Passing: 95 of 139 for 2178 yards with 31 TD's and only 2 Ints.

Rushing: 16  rushes for 200 yards and 5 TD's.

Here was the assessment from Cooley, who is probably the most knowledgeable poster regarding talent in Dallas ISD.

Committed to Missouri St. Excellent arm strength and accuracy. Throws  a very good deep ball.  Good mobility but primarily a pocket passer. Very quick release.

Does not look to run but is effective when needed. The only box unchecked is his size.  Can’t be much more than 160 lbs. Great stats but could have been much higher had it not been for the blow out wins in district; where the clock ran continuously after half in each game. (Exception was the first game loss to Duncanville).

You can catch film of him on maxpreps.com.  Search for South Oak Cliff, go to their schedule and click on each game.  There are usually some highlights there.

We should have been in on this young man from when we hit campus recruiting Farrar.

Keep in mind when Farrar committed he was still at Dallas Skyline.

We only offered 5 high school QBs this class, and all 5 ended up going P5. Not only that, but 3 of those 5 were offered back in 2020.

The last QB offer we extended for the 2022 class was Conner Harrell back in April. Seems pretty clear the staff just doesn’t care if we get a high school QB this class or not.

So no HS QB and it looks like we are not on the radar for any of the higher rated transfers. With all of the quality players we have been able to get, what is about Seth and crew that cannot get a QB? If we keep recruiting like this we are not going to enjoy our move to the AAC as much as we hoped.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we stop signing HS QBs unless they are a top recruit.  And why would we?  We have not had the best of luck with low 3 star guys and there are tons of FCS and FBS with college experience that demonstrates more than pure potential.  It makes sense.  I am sure we will go after a select group of blue chip QBs and if we strike out turn to a transfer.

When you look at the C-USA HS qb commits there offer list is not impressive except maybe for Lindy at La Tech which is showing a soft commit (which mean offers have dried up). Everybody will try to hit the home run on a transfer (UAB) or get a transfer in that has 3 or more years of eligibility instead of a HS player. Look who UTSA signed, they are going to have a tough time replacing Harris. Still to early to judge.
