Again, running when we have 5 blockers and they have 6 in the box, even with motion (which just makes it 6 vs 7) is not ideal. Really think a timeout would have been better based on what UTEP showed.

I don’t have a problem with going for it on 4th.  Still a nice, time consuming drive.

I don’t take it as an indictment on Mooney. A good play call and we score. Add in the fact that our D has been kicking their ass all day and I understand going for it. Just don’t get the play call.

I think it is more SL being stubborn and trying to run the ball up the middle on short yardage situations. He does it again and again and again even when it does not work.

If we got the field goal, then they need 1 td and 2 field goals to tie or 2 tds to win. Now they just need 1 td and 1 field goal. This was horrible game management.

Nothing worse that watching the offense prairie dog up to look at the sideline only to run it up the gut and get stuffed.  We are good at that.
