Point?  We are still poorly coached, SL needs to go and we don't deserve to go to a bowl game.  

I swear Vito mentions the possibility of a bowl and sits back and chuckles at the people on here that run with that nonsense.  Enjoy the wins, but let's not overreact.

No it is not time to look too far ahead. NT will play UTEP this Saturday. NT is not the favorite. Depending on which sports book you go to , this game is somewhere between a pick'em and UTEP being a 2.5 points favorite. Which is actually surprisingly little considering the records thus far. Is the potential and talent at NT sooo much bigger than the record indicates? You bet ya. But there is also a lot of reason to believe that NT doesn't have the leadership to deliver on that potential. This team has a lot to prove before it (or its fans) can afford to overlook an opponent that is already bowl eligible.

If we spend more time saying "is UTSA a rivalry?" then "I hate UTSA!", is it really a rivalry?

If board mods and beat writers need to keep hammering home that it is a rivalry for it to be a rivalry, is it really a rivalry?

If the other school needs KFC promos to jump start their branding, is it a rivalry?

Rivalry would be a step up right now. We aren't rivals. We are stepping stones this season.

They have an upward trajectory. We have... well... a trajectory? I don't even know who or what our team is right now.

IMO, true rivalries are not contingent on the program trajectories.

      Eric Morris needs to go

      Giving these coaches 4-5 year contracts can make them complacent. It seems they may not have the urgency to get things going due to the years they have, so they always feel like they’ll get that chance once again. Terrible thing for Jared to do for an unproven coach with no HC experience. I’m not going to count his IW stint since that’s a different division all together.

      Hi!

      B.S. You don't know that. It's just a guess. My freshman year was 1961, I was the vice president of a major fraternity,and neither that or either of our opinions means jack. Historically , with some exceptions, we have had an underfunded athletic department that put out a poor product in both football and men's basketball. For some reason[ which I can't explain],even after spending 10's of millions of dollars on bricks and sticks for the football program and increasing our athletic budget by million's of dollars we still put our a poor product. It's become difficult for those of us who have financially supported UNT athletics to the best of our financial ability, for years if not decades, to continue to basically throw good money after bad. I have always said expect more or you will get less but I am turning 82 in April and just don't see any change in the results of our football program.

      How many people still respond to this guy's tweets trying to correct him cracks me up. The bit has been going on for years. I think the guy running the account wrote a book about it. The whole schtick is that he's wrong. But SMU is Clearance Rack Baylor, so he's right about that one.

      I hope we lose to Temple

      I know this was probably because of Thanksgiving break, but looking at the stadium, you could see this big time. The screen play has its place, we use it WAAAY too much. I know it is part of Air Raid, but it only works consistently against slow, bad defenses.

      What’s up with DT Sheffield?

      I have no doubt he is gone along with half of the roster. It's just a fact of life where we are with football, and some players that know they are transferring are going to start shutting things down early (not just at UNT, but something we definitely struggle with here). Not really anything we can do about it unless we start playing big in the NIL arena.
