Our guys not only look uninspired, they look like they'd rather be somewhere else.

Aune's 1Q sometimes looked unprepared, sometimes apathetic, and all-the-time awful.

So much for trying to establish winning momentum.

These refs have been home cooking on the spots all game. I doubt this could have been overturned either way

This is true. Refs have been nickel and diming is all game.

But never should have been called a run with no TOs remaining.

He was short. Just don’t put yourself in that position to begin with. We had for sure at least 3 pts just playing that series smart. The setup to give us the opportunity was great. In true North Texas fashion - we didn’t.

It’s gotta be Adayi & Johnson time in the 2nd half.  For as awful as the 1st Quarter was, the Mean Green still look to be the better team (I know that’s not saying much…). This game is most-definitely winnable.

It's winnable. But only if we stop making mental mistakes like roughing the passer and false starts. USM is making halftime adjustments. I'm looking forward to seeing how we adjust.

Anyone else would have kicked the FG to have momentum going into the second half. Out gaining them 2-1 and losing by a TD. 14-10 would be somewhat disappointing but not as much as 14-7. Such bad game management.

Not sure I would have. Do think I would have taken a shot. But running??? definite nono. However I am not sure that was what was called. He might have thought he saw a surebet hole. Only thing is, there appear to be zero QBs to be on the roster who have vision.
