I find it hard to believe you can lose 11 of 14 teams and those 11 and their lawyers are going to accept paying exit fees to a nonexistent league.

UNT is divorcing CUSA.

CUSA is demanding child support.

Do you really believe we are going to get away with not paying?
No matter if only two teams are left, that conference will demand it’s payments. All while planning to bring up FCS teams to get to 6 schools and still be eligible for an automatic bid to the Big Dance for a conference BB champ.

Only thing we could have hoped for was what happened with Marshall. They got their $2 million entrance fee waived. 
That didn’t happen for us…

Conferences don't die. Twenty schools left the WAC from 2010 to 2012. It stuck around by dropping football for nine years and making other desperate moves.

CUSA will survive too and collect those exit checks.

(Aside from the SWC, of course. Somehow it was the exception.)

Can the 11 teams that are leaving temporarily rescind their decisions to leave so they could vote out (or kick out) LaTech, FIU, and UTEP? Then vote to dissolve the conference? 🙂

With the addition of the 4 new schools, CUSA will be around as a conference for a while yet. Yes, they WILL collect the exit fees. I don't see how they can maintain being a FBS conference, but a multisport conference with an autobid to the NCAA basketball and other post season tournaments is likely.
