My mistake.  I assumed the suggestion was a game at each venue per 4 years.  
 

4 games against one opponent per year would certainly show a lot of respect.

This could be a money game for us? Kidding! I have a lot respect for Tech and would like to keep playing them. I thought maybe they could be a replacement if SMU and Memphis leaves, but I get the impression we would stay at 12.

An annual game in the Independence Bowl would be really cool.  I’d just want it to be a La Tech home game and not affect our number of home games each year by swapping each year.

I don't see NT going out of their way to help La Tech or any other of the remaining CUSA schools.

Why would NT want to play La Tech in football every year at a neutral site?   La Tech would be a good oc opponent, but why restrict your schedule against other teams.

Wren never said he would play at a neutral site.  Somebody threw out that wacky idea, and Wren deliberately omitted that part from his response.  He said he would love to "continue playing," which suggests to me that he wants to keep doing at as we have done...at Denton, at Ruston, rinse and repeat.

And I don't see it as just offering help to LaTech.  It's a good series for us.

Wren was just responding graciously to someone's internet joke. 

La Tech is a fine program for us to continue to play when possible. We're not gonna play any neutral site games or anything. It's a joke.

All due respect for Tech but I would like to explore some new horizons and play some different teams.  I would like to play Texas State for instance.
