Encouraging graph put out by D1.ticker, where they polled ‘current and potential’ C-USA AD’s about different aspects of programs in our conference. I know we’re high for a lot of things we’re not great at, but allegedly it’s regarding potential and a outlook more than current success.

I don’t understand football success being ranked second. From what time period? And even then?

It’s projected & perceived success. We’ve made a bowl game in 5 of the last 10 years, had some really popular players come through, invested a ton in our program, made national news in a huge upset - all looks very good on the outside, but once you realize we won zero of those bowl games, sent only a few players to the NFL, had our program take a nose dive to where it is now, and overpay an underperforming coach… we’re not that good right now. But with the way we’re investing, our highly ranked recruiting classes, etc, we are doing way better than we realize w/ the future.

Just a matter of capitalizing on it and actually winning.

Great take by Denton_Days.  Looking at the big picture it is pretty glaring that Seth needs to be gone.  I think the only reason more aren’t as passionate about him being gone is the Covid year.  But 2019 was bad also.  With the resources we have this team should always be in contention for a CUSA West Division title.

If you look at the measured points we are high on all  that is a credit to Neal and Wren. You can't turnaround facilities, leadership, donor support quickly, but you can turn football success quickly. Our FB record matters, but it is not the main reason for conference invites.

Thanks mike, couldn’t agree more.

I missed your explanation above the graph. Thanks.

We've known this. We are top of the conference in multiple sports, revenue, attendance, facilities, etc. It is an excellent time for our athletic department other than our football team, which is unfortunately, always under the biggest microscope.
