Rain, Rain go away!

My stepdaughter, husband, and grandson have recently moved to Arlington from Modesto CA and have been living in a hotel until their new place was ready 7-1-04.

Now the rainy season here in the Central Valley is in the winter and there isn't much of it because most of the rain falls in the mountains, not here in the valley. They have never seen so much rain as lately there in the Metroplex. Since I grew up in Dallas I keep telling them it could be worse, like tornados, etc. :-)

oh, yes, and then there's the ice storms in winter!

My grandson is a real football prospect even at age 12. He wears a size 13 shoe, weighs 155# and is as tall as I am. His dad passed away very young but was 6'8" and 285. I have exposed him to the Mean Green and he relates to "Booger." I will bring him up to Denton this Fall for "indoctrination!"

YES! My little brother (who's actually taller than me) plans to attend UNT when he graduates next May. He wants to try walking-on for the basketball team as point. Hopefully, if he has good stats this year, he may be scouted.
