Maybe because we’re 20 something point underdogs….

Looking at the product on the field we're not 20 pt dogs... we should be up 14-0 AT LEAST

I wanted to wait on Ruder and see if the accuracy issues from last week would be improved before saying give Aune a shot, but he has thrown some very bad passes. Some should have been caught, but he made them hard catches to make. I thought Aune was more accurate last week. Whether we change now I don't know, but I don't think he can play any worse.

I think a lot of us are just frustrated that we didn’t take advantage more. I’m still probably a little shell shocked at how fast SMU has scored on us in the past. We gave up 2 big plays for TD last week and 1 today. We can slug and slog our way through this and they can win the game with 1 or 2 plays in about 10 seconds.

Would’ve liked to get the ball deep a little more. We’re also giving them great field position. Feels like The dam could break eventually.

SMU has obviously decided they’re not going to let Torrey beat them

12 carries for 54 yards isn’t bad, but we need more RPO’s with Ruder or Aune keeping. That would keep their defense honest.

Can a QB become accurate after halftime?  I would rather let the 2 compete for the job and the winner gets the conference starts.  Ruder does not look any better thru a game and a half from what I have seen from Aune last year

Yeah. That was a sneaky 54 yards. If Ruder could complete a few more passes down field might get Torrey to break one
