If the SEC would have waited to invite
Texas and Ok until after everyone voted
For the 12 team playoff it would have been
Better for the SEC and us.

Now because of the formation of the
Alliance (ACC Big 10 and PAC 12)
The Alliance would not want the playoff expanded.  Sad.

I doubt the Sec ever thought the other three would collaborate against them as one allied force. Now, they have probably cost their own conference any chance of ever having two teams in the playoff again, which is the barest of minimums they would have had with any expansion at all of the playoff system.

This "collaboration" was pushed by the P12 to stay relevant. Why do you think they they will not have 2 again? If anything the collaboration will mean less cupcake games for the three conferences. With 2-4 more strategically added teams the SEC could pull away and have it's own "Championship" if they wanted and it would probably make them more money.

Oh, I’d imagine that the committee will take the 4 power champions or Notre Dame before they will take a 2nd SEC team—unless It’s Alabama. Going forward, it’s fairly obvious that the committee puts more weight onto the teams who win their conference, assuming they only have just 1 loss.

A one loss SEC Team will get in over a 2 loss Pac12 or ACC (if it's not Clemson). ESPN will get 2 SEC teams if it wants them

You do know the committee isn’t run by the NCAA, right?
