I've said for a long time that Baylor is the perfect pinata for the NCAA to hammer. Relatively small. won't be in a Power Conference in the future, and hurting them won't bother any of the big money networks.

Unbelievable...

SMU pays players and has a payroll, so the NCAA basically beats them into a coma. Then, every other member of the NCAA's power schools all cry that their penalty was too harsh.

Since then, Penn State gets found to have allowed a coach to molest and rape boys for decades while serving as their DC, all while their head coach legend knew what was going on. They got a year of probation, basically.

Baylor, who is a pissant school in the big scheme of things, who also got busted for covering up a murder on their basketball team by a lying coach trying to make the victim out to be a drug dealer, 15 years after this, gets busted for basically allowing their female coeds to be sexually assaulted at will be numerous players, while the coaches look the other way...and the NCAA gives them no probation.

And people wonder why college sports continues to dwindle in popularity.

No governance at all.
